This is more than a regular field trip. During a four-to-five day trip, you will follow the full journey of plastic waste, from collection to processing to the entrepreneurs building something new from it. "What struck me the most was our visits to the dumpsites, the mangroves and how every day the people are managing waste without the systems we take for granted in Europe. It is truly impressive to see how Plastics Recycling Gambia is trying to build something with so little. If you work in sustainability, waste or impact investment, this trip will change how you think about what's possible. It's more than a learning experience, it's a chance to help scale an organisation that's proving the model works."

Sashanna  Sondaar - Partner Manager, Seenons

"I've been to The Gambia many times, and I thought I had seen a lot but seeing mangroves cut down and backfilled with plastic waste to build homes was a stark reminder of why this work matters. Between understanding the country's waste challenges and its people, and Alieu and the team's care for every detail, the field trip was one of the most memorable experiences I've ever had in The Gambia."

Help us scale, from waste to resources.

Plastics Recycling Gambia is a for-profit company. We are choosing to build something that stands on its own: a real sustainable business that creates jobs and strengthens Gambia's economy from within, rather than relying on grants or funding built for non-profits.

For years, a lack of our own equipment has held us back, forcing us to rely on third parties to help us collect and process plastics. We want to take control to step up on our vision for a clean, healthy and prosperous Gambia. To do that, we need a dedicated facility, our own truck, and industrial shredders built to match the true scale of the plastic problem. But we can't do it alone.

Will you help us build a business that stands on its own?
